I heard something the other day that really made me think.
It was: What if you woke up today and all you had in your life was what you thanked God for yesterday? What would your life look like?
Makes you think, eh? I think all too often we go about our lives and forget to be grateful. Gratefulness is one of those very important life values that I want to instill into my children (and I do), but I need to do a better job at being grateful myself. I AM grateful. I have so much to be grateful for. I just need to do a better job of thanking God for my blessings and praising Him for all that He has given me. There is goodness even in things we think at first aren’t “good.”
So I’d love for you to (every day this month) blog, journal or just pray and thank God for something (or lots of things) that you are thankful for. November is a great month to concentrate on being thankful and I think that’ll help get us incorporate being grateful more for the months ahead. If you’d like to do this on your blog as well – you can click on my “30 days of gratitude” graphic above and save it and use it in your blog post. I’d love it if you’d link back to my blog!
I’m going to also have another cool gratitude project to share with you soon – just as soon as I get the go-ahead! ;) You won’t want to miss it! So come along on this journey with me and remember those things you are grateful for each and every day. The time is now. :)
Today’s gratitudes:
- Thankful for the sweet smiles and hugs of my children and also for the bits of quiet time throughout the day to reflect and relax. Also, grateful for the beautiful, big tree across the street. It’s gorgeous and just reminds me of God’s magnificent creation and my favorite season of all – Fall.
- “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:20
