CREATIVE MEMORIES! :)
Something wonderful happened to me last month. A sweet girl e-mailed me and that e-mail was just the sweetest, kindest e-mail. :) Sure, maybe she was buttering me up, hee hee, but I was really impressed with her professionalism and I could tell she was a good person. She asked me something that I honestly wasn’t expecting. She asked me if I would like to become a part of the Creative Memories design team. I was honestly surprised by the e-mail because I never thought my style fit with the style Creative Memories loved, but she reassured me that CM was going in some new directions and she wanted me to be a part of it. How cool is that? The only Creative Memories product I’ve ever used is their AWESOME corner rounder (which I still love and use to this day), but that was it. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel using their product since I didn’t have much experience with it. I was sent some, did some creating and actually really liked what I was working with. More importantly, I really liked the PEOPLE I would be working with. So then it was decided – I would be a member of the CM DT. :)
I truly believe that this opportunity fell in my lap at just the right time and for all of the right reasons. It’s so wonderful to be able to work with this reputable company that has been around for a long time and share my love for scrapbooking with all of the CM fan base. I’m excited that they are branching out a bit and are going to create a more diverse selection of goodies for a wider audience to enjoy. I’m excited that they are working on changing their image so they can go from folks aways saying, “I started out with CM, but now I’ve moved on to bigger and better things” to people saying, “I just love CM and their products. They’re timeless and I’m so glad that my scrapbooks are full of their products!” I know there are SO many women out there who have always loved CM and I’m excited to be able to show them my style of scrapbooking and new ways to see CM products.
Life can be pretty funny. You see – about 4 years ago I was actually invited to a CM party and I went. I brought along all of my cool ribbons, ink pads too of course ink up the cardstock and a bunch of colorful Doodlebug paper, stickers, etc. I even used my stapler and all of the CM women there thought I was nuts! Ha! I went home that day with the coolest corner rounder EVER and a new appreciation for just how diverse scrapbooking can be, but I was reminded that even though we all have our personal tastes as to what companies we love, what are favorite stickers, stamps, etc. are – that the thing that that we ALL have in common is our love for keeping our memories and recording our lives and the lives of our family. And now I’m on the CM DT! How awesome is that? :)
I’m very happy about being a part of this new adventure. I hope you’ll follow me on this journey and I will be sure to post some projects I’ll be working on for CM when I am able to. I also have a great product review to do as well, so be sure to check back, ok? :)
So, forget what you thought you knew about CM because a change is a-coming and I’m a part of it! Yay! A special thanks to Rock star Jenny and Rock star Addie for allowing me this wonderful opportunity and for all that they do! I’m so thankful for their friendship and for the sweet friendships I will form because of this new team I’ll be on. Life IS sweet. :)
Happy Tuesday, everyone!

October 14, 2008 at 8:15 pmIt is good to hear that CM is getting current with the times. I have been a CMC for a year and half and while I love the quality of their products they are very plain and basic. I still give my upline fits with my cuttlebug and silhouette. I was actually thinking of stocking up on the albums and switching to CTMH because I felt that CM was not supporting the consultants with any new stuff lately and they are more my style. I hope to see ink and embelishments from CM soon and now that I know there are changes coming I will wait.
