Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my little happy place on the world wide web. :-D I have that update that some of you have been waiting for in regards to the Cards for Kate card drive that we started almost 2 months ago. I have great news! The outpouring of love, prayers, support, donations and cards was SO amazing that we decided to bring another child into the drive so that we could help brighten the lives of another sweet child. We would LOVE for you to join us on this journey to help sweet, Eric. This is Eric:
Eric’s mom, Leslie says, “Eric is a fighter and he has endured a tremendous amount. I am confident that he will not surrender. The docs have not thrown the towel in and we have not either… so pray hard everyone because we really do need a miracle.”
Eric will be 9 on 10/26. He has a sister (Rachel – 7) and brother (Jacob – 5). His dad is Bob and his mom is Leslie.
All the “guidelines,” mailing info, etc is the same as for Kate. You can find it all HERE. Again, we would love it if you mailed the cards to arrive here by October 31.
I know I have asked a lot from you all to send cards for Kate and her family. But if you could just do it one more time – this time for Eric and his family – that would be wonderful. Imagine how much it would make him smile.
If you haven’t participated in this card drive yet and would like to, we’d love for you to join us. If you still want to make cards or make more cards, you can make them for this child. Just spreading the joy around a bit. If you have already sent cards, those will go to Kate and her family. But any future ones – it would be great if they were made for Eric and his family. (You will be eligible for the same prizes.) In hopes that we can get cards for him, too, we will extend the deadline just a touch – the prizes will be drawn on October 31 – so you have time to get them in before we pick prize winners.
I can’t thank you enough for helping us out with this wonderful card drive. I am so proud and happy to be a part of such a loving community of creative and kind-hearted people. Please help us send Eric lots of support, prayers and love his way, just like we are doing for Kate. We may not be able to help every child who is battling such a hard circumstance, but we can do more now by helping TWO. :-D If you have any questions – just leave them here and I will answer them. More and more prizes are being added and I know that we have received probably by now OVER 1000 cards for Kate! Let’s get a nice big lot of cards for Eric, too! Won’t you please join us?
