I wanted to also give you an update about Cards for Kate and the Kit for Kate. I’m so happy to report that as of right now we have almost 1000 cards for Kate and almost $1000 in donations for Kate and her family!! Isn’t that awesome? See what us crafters, scrapbookers, card makers, artists and all-around awesome folks can do when we get together, open up our hearts and help! I smile so big when I get these updates and well, I about cry every time, honestly. It just makes my heart happy. So wonderful to see good in the world. A single card and a single dollar DO make a difference. Please continue to pray for Kate and her family. Kate has started another round of chemotherapy and she could really use our prayers right now. There is going to be a little change to the Cards for Kate coming up very soon. We have decided that since the outpouring for Kate and her family has been so wonderful that we have found another child who is going through something very difficult and we are going to ask for cards for this child as well during these last couple weeks of the card drive. You are more than welcome to keep making cards for Kate and donating to her and her family, but we felt like 1000 cards is just such an awesome amount and we could share the love, support and prayers with another child and family, too who are needing it so much right now. I will be back soon with the update on who this another child is, what they are going through, etc., so if you would like to think about making some more cards for this child we would love that, too. We have a couple weeks left of the card drive so keep those cards coming and donations, too! I’d love to reach that 1000 mark for both cards made and donations made! We’re almost there! :-D
