Hi there sweet blog friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! I wanted to share something really special with you all and I hope that you can join us in helping lift the spirit of a sweet little girl named, Grace. Some of you may have followed the heartbreaking story of her twin sister, Ellie. If you haven’t then you can click HERE to read more about it. Beautiful, sweet Ellie lost her battle with cancer last week and as you can imagine – it has been hard on her remarkably strong and wonderful sister, Grace.
My sweet friend, Jennifer McGuire, contacted Grace and Ellie’s Mom to see if we could send Grace cards and she said yes. That’s where YOU come in. Here are the details:
Here are the easy details:
- We want these cards fast so that Grace can get them ASAP. Jennifer needs them all by the end of July, please.
- One card is even fine. Just put it in the mail to Jennifer and she will transfer to another envelope. If you can send more? Even better.
- You can read about the family HERE.
- Happy cards are best. Silly jokes, fun pictures of pets… anything. Or just “thinking of you.” Have your kids draw from things or color. Or stamp some blank images for Grace to color. Anything.
- Please send your cards to this address by the end of July…

Cards for GRACE
PO Box 428612
Cincinnati, Ohio 45242
- This is separate from the Cards for Kids card drive. Please send cards for this separately than the ones for our ill children.
- We won’t be posting the names of everyone who sent cards because of the speed of this drive. But Jennifer will be picking a few random prizes. :)
Thank you so much. PLEASE pass around the word on this. If you post about this Cards for Grace on your blog or twitter or something, please link in the comments below and let me know! I will pick one of the comments to win a little somethin’ somethin’ from me. :-D
Another thing I wanted to mention that my sweet friend Jana is scaling down on her ribbon collection and if you check out her blog HERE you can see what she’s selling and pick yourself up a load of pretty ribbon! I have LOTS myself and so I better refrain. I need to use my ribbon more and not just hoard it and look at it. It’s just so pretty though in the big jars I have it in! Ha!
One last thing – I wanted to share this card I created the other day. Once again I had to pull out one of my new Hero Arts stamps. I just love that little house. So cozy and quaint. You can buy it HERE. I also used the All Occasion Message stamps (HERE) and an orange notecard from Hero that you can get HERE.
I hope you have a wonderful day today. Please find a few minutes to create a card for Grace. We have heard so many wonderful stories from the families of the Cards for Kids children and I just know how appreciative and thankful they are to so many people for taking the time to make their children smile and lift their spirits. It’s something easy you can do that gives such a big impact. So, please think about being a part of Cards for Grace and Cards for Kids if you’re not already. Thank you! BIG hugs!
