I wish it was. March has not been kind to me or my family so we’re ready for April. We’re ready to start fresh with a new month and Spring will be here and I’m SO ready for that! Who’s with me? ;)
A few updates:
- Caylin is doing wonderfully. She is a brave little girl. I’m SO proud of her! I’m taking each day as it comes and still have SO much to learn about diabetes, but I’ve met so many wonderful people already who have been so encouraging and supportive and they’ve been there and know the emotions and things we are all going through. It’s so comforting. It really is. Caylin and I were having a conversation a few days ago and it started out pretty deep with her talking about how she wishes there was a cure for diabetes because she didn’t want to live that way and have it, but thankfully before I had to get ready to hold back some tears she blurted out, “Oh well. At least there are french toast sticks!” Ha! I about peed my pants. I was happy she went from serious like that right into something silly and sweet that a 5-year-old might say. Makes times like those easier for sure and smiles and laughter help so much. ;) Thank you again for all of the sweet comments and prayers being said on our behalf. ♥
You know that cute medical ID bracelet below that I ordered for my daughter? Well, she’s going to have THIScute case as well to keep all of her supplies (meter, insulin, etc) in. Super cute, eh? Love it and one of her most favorite things are butterflies and she thought it was so cool that when you opened it – it turned into a butterfly.
- I’m happy to report that so far the MS Walk fundraiser has raised $690!!!! Isn’t that awesome?!?! I’m SO happy to have reached my goal and went beyond it! I’m shooting for $1000 now so click HERE if you aren’t sure what fundraiser I am talking about and want some more details or if you haven’t donated yet! There are lots of great prizes to be won!
- An update on blog designs – well as you can imagine – life kind of stopped for a bit a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t finished or worked on any blog design orders that I currently have. Right now, if you are wanting a blog design from Two Happy Mamas Blog Design Studio, the wait is about a month and a half. I’m finally starting to settle back into a routine and am going to get back at it soon. Thanks to those of you who have been patiently waiting! One of these days I’ll get caught back up!
- I wanted to also mention that a sweet friend of mine named Natacha recently found out that her Mom’s cancer is back after she was in remission for over five years. Her Mom loves getting homemade cards so she is asking anyone to make a card for her Mom. Everyone that does is entered in a giveaway that she is having. You can check out here blog HERE for more details and the address where you can send the card. Please keep Natacha, her Mom and her entire family in your prayers, please and if you are able to spare a bit of time in your day and can make her Mom a card, that would be wonderful. Something as simple as that can really brighten up her day.

I am SO with you!
I am also so glad to hear that Caylin is adjusting well…it's always us mommies who have the tougher time, huh?
Big hugs to you, my friend!

March 16, 2011 at 8:40 pmwhere in the world did you find that adorable case? I think I might need one like that for me!
I am so happy to hear that things are going well. I have the names of a few diabetic cookbooks that my nutritionist had given me after my diagnosis, if you are interested!
Keep your head up-

March 16, 2011 at 9:03 pmHave you heard about Diabetic camp for kids and their families? We went to UTADA (in Utah) and it was really fun and educational both. My brother went for years as both camper and counselor and he still has some very good friends from those times.
There is so much more out there, as far as resources and cute stuff for kids, than when I was young! I love that pouch. It is too cute. Cute always helps. :)

March 17, 2011 at 3:05 amWhat a good, happy post! I love it, K! Such sweet words from Caylin…french toast sticks. Haha. SO perfect and SO her! (Also funny? I was just mentioning to Nate about my love for french toast sticks when I was a kid-he was grossed out and I haven't had them in years, but they sounded so good! Haha! ;)). I also adore that little case you picked up for her-soooo adorable and perfect!
Love seeing Jack, too! He's precious. Love you all so much and praying for everyday! Oh, and AWESOME about the MS funds!! You go girl!
