Hi there! Well, today is my first installment of Project Life Tuesday! I have to say that Project Life is SO much fun! It’s just such a cool, laid back way to preserve memories! I just love sliding my photos, cards, memorabilia and other goodness into those slots! Ha! I can already tell that it’s just going to be something fun to keep up! Yay!
Ok, so like I said last week – I am keeping this very simple! Please excuse the photos, too. I took them last night and had the hardest time getting any kind of decent photographs of them. LOL. Here’s our cover page:
I also finished my Project Life: Week One! Can I get a “whoop, whoop!?” ;) Here’s week One:
My goal is to not only include some photographs of some happenings during the week, but to capture sweet drawings, memorabilia and cute things my kids say in this album. I really just want it to be an album full of bits of pieces of our lives during the year. I really enjoyed putting this together and I feel like it totally reflects my simple style . Not only that, but it’s really refreshing to just grab some photographs, journaling cards and a few other goodies and pull the pages together. It’s SO not time-consuming and SO not overwhelming and right now – I’m all about that.
Oh and I love, love, LOVE the Clementine core kit! SO happy I chose that! I’d love for you to link up your PL pages in the comments so that I can check them out and be inspired, too! Check out some more wonderful inspiration at my sweet friend, Jessica’s blog, The Mom Creative.
And before I forget, the winner of the Mini Polaroid Magnets is:
Congratulations, Alison! I’ve emailed you! Thanks to all those who entered! Don’t forget that I’ve got another giveaway going on HERE! :) Oh, and if you didn’t win, but would love a set of 6 mini polaroid magnets – I’m selling them for $10! Just email me! :)
BIG hugs! Have a great day!

January 10, 2012 at 8:29 amI’m going the simple route using my photo-a-day. And being that it’s digi I’m using the same layout and just sliding in new photos/dates/journaling each week. I had to keep this simple to set myself up for success. ;) But again I just love your approach. Bookmarking for maybe next year. :)

January 10, 2012 at 8:33 amOooh, I LOVE it! I think that is fabulous and I love concentrating on the photos! I wish I could do a photo-a-day, but I’ve tried a couple of years in a row and never made it the entire year so I decided to just go the weekly route since I know I can handle that! Ha! Great job though! LOVE it! :)

January 10, 2012 at 8:21 amThanks, Camilla! I found it’s the perfect album to tuck those little drawings, into! She drew something cute on a post-it note yesterday that I’m going to include in this week’s section, too! It’s hard to keep EVERYTHING our sweet kiddos make us, but it’s super easy to tuck a few of them in this way and I love it! I know it’s going to be sweet to look back on those little notes and drawings one day. ;) Thanks for stopping by!

January 10, 2012 at 12:47 pmI love the softness of your layouts…so pretty! I debated on the Clementine kit, but wasn’t sure, your pages make me wish I got it. I’m a newbie to PL–going to try to take a pic a day, so we will see. Love the idea of adding a drawing. My girls will be happy to whip something up to add to our book! Thanks for the great ideas!
Can’t wait to see your pages each week!!

January 10, 2012 at 3:00 pmWoop Woop!!!! You rock!
Great title page … beautiful pictures of your family!
I also really love the drawings & how you are writing TO your kids instead of about them.. “Jack, today you” I think it’s adorable and how much will that mean to them some day?! <3

January 10, 2012 at 3:38 pmI totally love that you’ve included your daughter’s art work. Like you said above, it’s hard to keep all the things they make, but hard to throw out the things they make. This is the perfect solution! I am jumping on the bandwagon this year and waiting (impatiently) for my Amazon shipment. I’m so excited! Keep the inspiration coming . . .

January 10, 2012 at 3:59 pmLove! I’m still working on both my title page and week 1 layout but I’m excited! You’re inspiring me to keep it simple. It’s so easy to get caught up and make it harder than it has to be.
