Today I wanted to share with you this pretty Cutey bracelet that a sweet reader named Ashley sent me to review. From time to time I’ll do a review on a product here at One Happy Mama if it’s something that I would normally purchase or use myself. I haven’t done one in a long time so when Ashley contacted me about these really pretty charm bracelets AND had one for me to give away to my sweet blog readers – I thought it was the perfect time to do another one.
I had never heard of Cutey before so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I received the bracelets. I have to say that they look and feel like they would be very expensive, but they’re really affordable at around $20. They’re very sturdy bracelets and the charms are delicate, but strong. I love the distressed look that some of the silver charms have on them and the bracelet itself is very strong as well. It seems like it would hold up really well and mine has since I’ve been wearing it. I love the mix of colors and textures of the bracelet. This giveaway one has a mix of wood, glass and metal charms and it is just has a very unique and handmade feel to it.
The only thing I didn’t like about the bracelet was the latch that you had to open and close to put the bracelet on and off. I think I would have liked it a bit more if the bracelet itself was either a bit stretchy so you could expand it a bit to slide it on your wrist OR if the latch was a bit more user friendly. I had to get my husband to help me secure the latch, but after a few tries and me practicing a bit – I was able to do it a lot easier. That is the only small thing that I noticed about it.
Here is a description of the bracelet to be given away: Named after the Greek Goddess of the Earth, this bracelet embraces the soil and foliage, the roots and the branches of life on our planet. Containing a beautiful wooden bead – perfect for playing with when you need to feel grounded – Gaia is a true celebration for those who love nature, gardening, drawing life from the soil and mothering. A little bit of the world dangling from your wrist.
If you would like to enter to win this little beauty, all you have to do is leave me a comment on this blog post tell me what kind of jewelry you like to wear. :) I mostly just wear bracelets, my favorite necklace and my wedding ring. I’m not big on jewelry, but I WANT do be! I need to purchase more chunky necklaces and bracelets!
I’ll keep the giveaway open until Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. central time. Simple as that. :)

April 18, 2012 at 1:26 pmI pretty much just wear my wedding ring and simple stud earrings, nothing fancy. I envy those that can wear cute, chunky jewelery, but it’s not for me. Although this bracelet is very cute and I would definitly wear it!

April 18, 2012 at 2:28 pmWow, I love this. I’ve been trying to wear more jewelry. I love bracelets and necklaces as my ears don’t do well with earrings. Thanks for a chance.

April 18, 2012 at 4:35 pmI’m like you…I wish I would wear more jewelry! I currently wear earrings, rings, and a necklace. I need to start having an “arm party”, but alas, it be a solo party since I don’t have many bracelets. This bracelet sure it worthy of an “arm party”, though!
BTW: I really LOVE your new blog design! I love the colors and the flashing header! Very trendy for the blog world! Hope you’re feeling better, too!

April 20, 2012 at 12:51 pmI used to not wear a ton of jewelry. Teaching PE, everything gets in the way. But now, I sport earings, wedding rings, ring from my father-in-law on left hand, watch and breast cancer band on left wrist and pandora and lenny and eva on the right. It’s alot. I’m okay with that. Since I get to wear sporty stuff all the time, it is my little way to feel pretty when everyone else looks so professional.
Love this bracelet. Lots. Love your heart for giveaways too!
Happy Day!

April 22, 2012 at 12:56 amReally digging the look of that bracelet with the mix of materials from wood, to metal, to glass.
I’m super simple when it comes to jewelry: most days I’ll put in a pair of pearl studs, and occasionally a bracelet. However, I do wear a little charm which looks like a fist on a cord around my neck all the time – even to bed – and only remove it to shower. The charm is called a FIGA, and I was first introduced to them while visiting Brazil in 2003. They bring good luck, but only when gifted – you can’t buy one for yourself. My friend from Sao Paulo sent this particular one to me about 2 years ago, when the one I’d gotten in 2003 on a key chain broke.
