I was so excited when Rebecca sent me her newest ebook to review. I am a HUGE fan of Rebecca and her work. I have always loved Rebecca’s classic, simple & beautiful style – in both her scrapbook pages from back in the day to the photographs she takes present day. One look at her beautiful blog, Simple As That, and I bet you will fall in love with her style, too.
I love to take photographs. That is true, but what I don’t love is all of the mumbo jumbo that comes with learning to take GOOD photographs. LOL. I’m the first to admit that I’m an amateur. I’ve been the “family photographer” for awhile now and yes I have been lucky and gotten some awesome shots of my kids and family, but I’ve always wanted to learn MORE about my camera and about taking better photographs.
I squealed when I saw the title of Rebecca’s latest ebook, “Real Life Photography: How to find magic in the everyday moments.” I’m all about those everyday moments. In fact, the everyday photos are my favorite kind of photos to take. :)
Here you can see the table of contents for the ebook:
Rebecca breaks it all down so easily and I love how it’s filled with photographic samples. It’s 70-pages and full of lots of tips, tricks, ideas and inspiration. I’m not kidding when I tell you that I pulled out my camera as I was reading it, tried some new things, took some photographs and was SO happy with what I learned so quickly.
I love how real, genuine and easily explained everything is. It’s information that you can put to use TODAY and get a better result from right away. Love that! Rebecca also has a couple of other ebooks that I’ve read and loved as well:
I definitely think the above two are must-reads as well. Rebecca just keeps it coming with awesome insight, great tips and beautifully sweet photographs. I love how it’s digital and I can revert back to it whenever I need to, reread it over and over again and I’ve got the photograph examples to look at and get ideas from, etc. It’s awesome. Definitely worth checking out! Go HERE to purchase your copy at the introductory price of just $9.99!
And guess what? Rebecca has sweetly allowed me to give one copy of her new ebook away to one of my blog readers! Yay! To enter, just leave me a comment telling me what kind of photos are YOUR favorite? I’ll randomly pick a winner to win a copy! Giveaway ends on Monday!
Have a great Friday and weekend ahead! Oh, and don’t forget that you can win a roll of washi tape by checking out this post HERE, too! Lots more fun in store on the blog next week, including ANOTHER awesome giveaway! Yay!
- Disclosure: I was given a copy of “Real Life Photography” to read and review. I was also given one copy to give away. All opinions on this blog post are my own. I truly love this ebook. :)

June 30, 2012 at 12:03 pmi love photos that are candid and natural. When one is not aware or conscious of the camera, it brings out the best in people. Those photo moments are priceless!

July 3, 2012 at 1:23 pmI love taking “artsy” photos, as I call them. When we are somewhere, I will usually get up close to what I’m taking a picture of. I’ll have that sharp and the background blurry.
Also, I take pictures of all the cards I make. It’s a constant struggle to get the lighting and the colors right. But I’m learning new things all the time. :-) xx
