Hi there!
Today I wanted to mention a really sweet card drive for a special girl and her sister. Some of you may have heard about this card drive for Maddy and her sister at Simon Says Stamp. You can read more about here. Maddy is a 13 year old battling leukemia and she will be receiving a stem cell transplant from her 15 year old sister Melanie.
Well, my sweet friend, Jana, has generously donated some awesome dies as a prize that anyone can win if they send at least one card into this special card drive. You can see all of the dies HERE on Jana’s blog. There is also a chance to win a $25 ecard to Simon Says Stamp and I am donating a free print of the winner’s choice from my shop, Baby Bird & Bub Bub as well. So, it’s really such a win-win situation – you create an encouraging card for a couple of sweet girls going through something really difficult and it brightens their day so much … AND … you may just win a sweet little something for being kind. Pretty cool, huh? Having been a part of Cards for Kids and other sweet card drives in the past I know just how important it is for these kids who are going through difficult time (and their families, too) to receive a bit of sunshine in the form of a handmade card.
After Caylin was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, I had some sweet friends send her some happiness in the mail and it totally made her day. It takes hardly no time to do, but leaves a long-lasting impact, I promise. So, please, if you have a bit of time, please think about taking part in this card drive.
Here are a bit more details:
If you have already sent cards to Simon Says Stamp you will be entered in the giveaway. If you have some time, though, and can send more cards, we would love that. Please send cards to the following address by September 14th. Jana will draw the winners on the 15th. Please include a slip of paper with your name, email address and mailing address so we can find you if you win!
