Meaningful Minis : A Giveaway

I am a BIG fan of mini albums. I have made quite a few and every time I finish one I just get giddy. I think it’s because let’s face it, anything “mini” is just super cute! Ha! And the other reason is because it’s so neat to have a little book that is FULL of memories. Mini albums can be a super quick way to get a bunch of memories together and to me, it always seems more fun to grab some supplies and create a mini book! One of my favorite mini books that I’ve done was actually out of those laminate samples that you can get at the hardware store. I just grabbed a bunch of those, covered them with cardstock and then added photos and a bit of misc. supplies to them to create this super cute mini album about my daughter. The cool thing is there are already holes in the samples so just add a d-ring to hold it altogether and you’ve got a super cute and quick mini album!

My sweet friend, Elizabeth, contacted me last week asking me if I’d like to review her new eBook from Ella Publishing called, Meaningful Minis: Little Scrapbooking with lots of heart to inspire your scrapbooking. I said, “Of course!” I’m a fan of Elizabeth’s work (you should check out her book – The Scrapbooker’s Almanac HERE! LOVE it! I’ve got my own signed copy that I purchased last year!) and I think this eBook is so wonderful!

Here’s a brief description of her book:

Whatever you make, make it meaningful. Elizabeth Dillow applies this philosophy to everything she does, and Meaningful Mini Albums may be the meaningfulest* of them all. She poured her heart and soul into 12 amazing albums (some itty bitty and others merely small) that will inspire you to tell your best stories in creative new ways. And your purchase includes a free video tour of 7 of the 12 albums. (Details on page 2 of your download.)

The beauty of a mini-album is that you can pack BIG memories inside. And these are projects with a clear beginning and end, which means you get to accomplish something grand and set the finished product on the shelf for all the world to see, flip through, and enjoy. Aren’t you dying to think mini?

I’ve read Elizabeth’s eBook and I have to say that it’s chalk-full of wonderful, easy and super cute ideas! I love the mini albums that she created and all 12 are unique. I love how Elizabeth tells you what each album means to her. You can see how much heart is in such a small project. :) She also tells you how to get started and she gives you a supply list and awesome tips, too! When I finished the ebook I knew it was a great one because I wanted to sit down RIGHT THEN and create a little mini album. I even have a few mini album ideas in the works now! Mini albums are such sweet keepsakes and this eBook is a good example of just that. You can purchase a copy of it HERE. It’s on sale for $5.99 from now until September 4th.

Here are a couple of sample pages from the eBook:

I’m happy to say that I’ve got a FREE copy of Elizabeth’s eBook to give away! Yay! Just leave a comment on this post telling me about a favorite mini album that you’ve made and then enter below using Rafflecopter (it’s super easy and fast)! I’ll draw a winner at the the weekend!

My favorite mini-book is one I made of a *Surprise* Build-A-Bear trip! My kiddos were BEGGIN constantly to go to BAB, but the last thing we needed was a another stuffed animal ;). So while out of town on a family trip, we ran across a Build-A-Bear store at the local mall, and decided it was worth the spur-of-the-moment surprise! I made a small book using my Zutter binder, chipboard and colorful cardstock. To this day,we still all love looking at that memorable family surpise!

My favorite mini was made about my mom and dad’s relationship before he passed away from cancer. She treasures it to this day.

I love making mini albums! I’ve done 4, I think, in the past couple of years. Always season related and always pictures of my kids and always for the grandparents. :-)

My favorite mini is one I made about a weekend scrapping weekend with friends. Each of us made 1 page and we exchanged them and then completed it with our pictures and words.

My favorite mini was my very first one that I made with some cherished (hoarded) Cosmo Cricket travel embellishments that I LOVED but was afraid of using. My DD’s friend was leaving on vacation and we decided to make a quick mini for her. I didn’t stress about each page and only had 30 minutes to do it and was shocked at how cute it turned out. Lesson learned! (Still spend way too much on each page of my minis).

A favorite mini is one that I made years ago for my dd. She was in the Disney Princess stage and I took a photo of her in each outfit with each doll! She’s almost 7 and loves looking through it!

I made an album once for my Aunt with the pictures from all the Christmas’s at her house. I’m working on one right now for my Gramma.
She turned 100 last week and I’m still collecting pictures from everyone.
