Isn’t that quote awesome? I love how this sweet print made its way into my shop. The other day my sweet friend, Sara posted the above quote on her Facebook page. I loved it and I told her that if she wanted, I could make a print for her of that quote and send it to her. I just wanted to do something sweet for her because she is just the sweetest person! She was so excited! She even had other people on her Facebook page where she posted that quote tell her that she should make it a print and sell it!
So into my shop the print went the other day. I wanted to do something good with the proceeds of the print. For one thing, it was Sara’s awesomeness that brought the print to life and I wouldn’t feel comfortable profiting from it, even though she told me to sell it and was ok with it. Instead I thought that we could do something good with the print. So Sara and I talked and we decided that a portion of the sale of the print (after shipping supplies and printing supplies are paid for) will go to help the homeless in our local community. I’d love to sell as many of these prints as possible. I’d love to be able to donate a couple hundred dollars to the Nashville Rescue Mission. It’s so neat to think about how this quote was just a quote that Sara posted on her Facebook wall to inspire and encourage her friends. She shared it because Sara is like that – she shines with love and encouraging words and kindness. I love how the print found it’s way to me and my shop and how it’ll be used to pass on more love, encouragement and kindness. Even if it’s in a small way, I know that is something. Come to think of it, it’s usually the small acts of kindness that make the biggest impacts. Don’t you think? Yep, I think so, too.
