Hi everyone! Happy Monday to you!
Boy, I sure do miss my Project Life Tuesdays! I hope everyone is still doing great with Project Life. I have stumbled back upon some of your beautiful layouts here and there and I am just SO happy that so many of you love this simplified system of memory keeping as much as I do.
Don’t you love how it’s NOT overwhelming. It’s very laid back and even when I was a couple of months behind, I still felt accomplished because I was still taking photos, still writing down memories and I knew that I could catch back up in a couple of weekends and I did! I don’t think I’ll ever go back to “regular” scrapbooking. Can I get an “Amen?!” The cool thing is that I’m honestly feeling like I am concentrating MORE on the MEMORIES and less on dressing up those memories with papers, embellishments, the latest trends, etc. Oh and how refreshing is it NOT to have to come up with some catchy scrapbook layout title? Ha! Totally. See – I know I’m not alone. ;)
I thought since it has been a little bit since I’ve shared some of my pages that I’d do that today. I would love for you to link me up in the comments to some of YOUR pages so I can go and check them out, too.
Ok, bear with me now – I took quite a bit of photos so this is going to be one photo-heavy post! Hope you don’t mind! Just think of it as payback for the many weeks that I’ve been keeping these pages all to myself! ;)
Love using 4×6 cards and printing my “Right Now” memories onto the cards.
Caylin creates a lot of artwork for me. She made me this rainbow and I just HAD to keep it. :)
That little envelope has some of Jack’s little curls from his first haircut last week. ;)
I created this birthday spread for Caylin’s birthday. Just included photos of some of the gifts she got and also munching on a cupcake. I also kept the sticker she got at Build-A-Bear and then listed some things we did, etc. on her special day! I added a pink glittered “7,” too!
Here’s a closeup of the sticker I kept. :)
The Halloween spread. :)
Here’s another example of some artwork that Caylin drew. Of course I can’t keep EVERYTHING she creates, but here and there I take a piece of her artwork and put it in an 8.5×11 page protector. I know I’ll love to look back on those one day. :)
Be sure to include those real life, every day photos, too! :)
I also every now and then add one of these page protectors by American Crafts into my album. It has 3 5×7 photo slots. This is the front…
This is the back. :)
I love seeing these side-by-side photos! I am going to do these every year!
Love to keep little love notes, too. :)
LOVE these 4×4 instagram page protectors of Becky’s, too! Now that I have an iPhone it’s SUPER easy to document the every day stuff. I have these scattered throughout my album!
More love notes. :)
I think it’s also super important to use our handwriting in our Project Life albums, too. Sometimes I will print out the journaling onto my cards and other times I’ll just write it by hand. Love to have a combination of both. :)
Oh, and just so you don’t think I’m SO on top of this ALWAYS – here is a prime example of a layout that still needs some work! LOL! Here’s a great tip – get some mini post-it notes and when you have some spots that need a photo or journaling, etc. OR even if you have some ideas for the pages you are working on – write it on the post-it note and put it on there. It helps A LOT. Trust me. It might sound silly, but those little post-its really helped me feel more organized when I was a bit behind. Now I just love to use them to make notes here and there of things I want to add, etc.
Okie dokie – well that was my Project Life update for you! Thanks for reading all the way through the blog post! I know it was a bit long! ;) I hope it inspires you to either start using Project Life for your memory keeping or to get caught up with your Project Life if you are behind! I love looking at what other people do! It always inspires me and I want out my photos, pages and journaling cards and have some fun! ;)
Thanks for stopping by! Keep up the good work with Project Life! You CAN do it! Have a blessed day! Oh, and don’t forget – leave me a link to some of YOUR pages! I’d love to see them!
Hugs!

December 4, 2012 at 1:38 pmLoved looking at all your pages!! I am doing my PL digi so I really need to remember to scan or photograph more of my lists and notes to get my handwriting in. Of course my handwriting looks NOTHING like yours – lol.I don’t do the first and last day of the school year photos but I do take a photo of the kids on the front porch each year on the first day of school – the changes over the years are amazing!
