You all might have seen a bit about Jerry the Bear back a bit when Caylin was raising money to purchase it by selling original pieces of her own artwork. Well, since then – Jerry has been a beloved part of our family and we are so thankful for the awesome folks who have poured their hearts into this bear to help kids who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Jerry is awesome and Caylin loved the fact that one of her stuffed animals also has Type 1. Jack loves it because he can interact with it and help it eat and get insulin. It’s a great educational tool and not only that, but it really helps kids have a bit of fun despite how UNFUN diabetes is.
Well, the awesome folks behind Jerry the Bear are trying to get a bear into the hand of EVERY child diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. There are over 12,000 kids diagnosed EVERY year.
