Week 47!

Only got two things down this week, but got this sweet story down that I didn’t want to forget! ;)

  • Jack, “I wish I had a red nose like Rudolph!”
  • Took Jack to get his hair cut and this old gentleman (probably in his 70s) walked in and immediately Jack said to him, “Hi!” The old man smiled SO big and said Hi back and told Jack that it was so nice of him to welcome him like that and it made his day. He reached out his hand and Jack shook it and the old man and Jack both laughed and smiled so big. The old man checked in for his haircut and sat down next to Jack. They started talking like they had known each other forever. The old man said to me, “You sure have a nice and happy boy.” I said, “Most definitely – he never meets a stranger” and the old man said, “Well, he sure is a kind boy and he made my day so much.” I could see tears welling up in his eyes, which in turn made my eyes get a bit teary. He asked Jack his name and then said his name was Guiseppe. They continued to talk and then Guiseppe said, “Iif I give you something, will you take it?” Jack said OK and then he pulled out some money from his pocket and he handed Jack a $5 bill. Jack smiled and said thank you and then it was time for Jack’s haircut. I could see Guiseppe smiling so big. As we were leaving, Guiseppe (who was now getting his hair cut) turned to Jack and said, “I like your haircut” and Jack said, “Thank you.” Then Guiseppe said, “Goodbye new friend, God bless you!” Jack said, “Goodbye!” and that was it. When I got to the car I couldn’t help but cry. It was so sweet to see such kindness and love come from my sweet boy to this nice old man. I know it really left a lasting impression on him. I don’t think he’ll forget Jack and we won’t forget him. A sweet little encounter at a Great Clips on a Thursday morning. From this day on I will say a prayer for Guiseppe. ♥

Have a great weekend ahead!

XOXO!

Wow, I love that story! How special is that! We just never know what a stranger is needing. Makes me want to smile and greet everyone :)
