Quick and easy child hand print card

From time to time I will include my kids’ hand prints in our Project Life album. I usually do this once a year and it’s SO easy and takes like hardly no time at all to do. This was my first time doing all three kids’ hands and even with a toddler, a crazy almost 5-year-old and an almost 10-year-old, it took only about 5 minutes to get all of the cards done.

All you need to do these is either some of the Project Life solid white 3×4 and 4×6 cards or you can just use white cardstock and cut your own cards. Then you need some acrylic paint and some foam brushes.

I placed three dollops of each paint (we used three different colors – one for each child) on a paper plate and started with Luke. He did NOT like having his hand painted at all and it took two times to get his hand print just right (the first take had one of his fingers bunched up). ;) The great thing though is that the acrylic paint washes off so easily so it’s quick clean up!

Jack and Caylin were much easier and it took no time at all. I just painted one of their hands, pressed it down onto the card and let them the cards dry for a few hours. That’s it!

Then I stamped the date that we did it on the card and wrote their name and age. I just love how simple and fast these are to do and I know I’ll love to look back on their little hand prints one day. Heck, I already do love looking back on them. ;)

So take a few minutes this week to do a little hand print card of your child or children and slip it into your Project Life album. You’ll love having that extra lil’ bit of their childhood in your Project Life. It’s just the sweetest.

Happy Monday, friends!
