Hi friends! Happy Groundhog’s Day, also known as MY BIRTHDAY! Yay! Yep, I’m a Groundhog’s Day baby! ;)
I’m hoping to post my Project Life page shares a bit later today (if I’m able to), but until then I wanted to pop on here and share a couple of layouts that I whipped up using the super cute Lovely embellishment kit from Freckled Fawn this month!
The first layout I created was about the photo I captured of Luke on the stairs. This is one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken recently and so I knew I wanted to keep the focus on the photo and create a layout about it. I love how there are some really fun and bright colors in the February kit and so I created the layout using white cardstock to make the colors POP.
I’m a very simple scrapbooker (always have been!) and so I just cut out a few bright, patterned strips of paper for along the bottom of the layout and then scattered some of the embellishments from the kit throughout.
I, of course, whipped out my date stamp and tiny attacher still. It’s a must. ;)
I LOVE the cork talk bubbles and the coordinating sticker labels that fit perfectly in them! Another favorite from the kit are the round self-adhesive stickers and also the puffy hearts! SO cute!
I cut one of the empty journaling spot stickers in half and used it instead to add the date to the layout! I love using products for all sorts of things!
The second layout I made was of some photos of Luke and snuggling one day! I printed out the photos 2×3 so that I could stack them a bit.
I used a yellow polka dot patterned paper for the background and then just proceeded to layer the photos and other elements.
I love the beautiful foil washi included in the kit! I placed that along the photos as sort of a foundation for them. I then added just some older stickers that I had in my stash, plus a little printed out piece of journaling. I kept it all very simple. Of course the date and the tiny attacher helped, too! The puffy heart and plus sign stickers are a favorite, too! SO much goodness in this kit!
