Hello friends!
It’s Saturday! Yay! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
I’m here to share my Friday photos + stories from my Week in the Life documentation that I’ve been doing since Monday.
5:58 am | I love getting up early and being the only one awake. I often find myself in the kitchen area, watching the sun come up or waiting on Maggie who’s still outside doing her business.
6:38 am | Finished my Shakeology for breakfast.
7:01 am | Luke is a wild sleeper. I’m thankful he’s a good sleeper though. He’s still asleep and will probably sleep for about 30 more minutes.
7:32 am | Hello Friday!
7:39 am | Making muffins. It’s one of the kids’ favorites and I make it A LOT. I used up all of the almond flour though so need to get some more! And some vanilla, too!
7:57 am | Spending some time cleaning the kitchen while muffins for breakfast are baking. Sweeping is so peaceful to me.
8:14 am | Muffins are done!
8:38 am | Jack drinking his Ningxia Red after he ate some applesauce with probiotics in it. His favorite way to get the good stuff in him.
8:52 am | Time to get it done. Not feeling it this morning and today is burpees day.
11:32 am | Cleaning bathrooms, but took a nice break to watch Becky Higgins on Periscope! Back to cleaning toilets!
1:12 pm | One chore that Luke loves to do is to put rolls of toilet paper on the toilet paper holder in our bathroom. Usually though he ends up putting one on each hand and saying they’re just “muscles!”
1:25 pm | Jack & Luke are playing with Playdoh on the back screened porch while Caylin creates some “cell phones” out of cardboard for their super secret clubhouse.
2:43 pm | Luke sitting still for a few minutes in his room with a book. He was totally up and out like a few seconds after I shot this. Hahahahaha!
4:25 pm | Michael had to get down in our crawl space again to whip up a special cleaner to slather all on some of the crawl space wall and floors to hopefully (fingers crossed) get rid completely of the skunk smell that we’ve been dealing with for the past 3 months. We had the guys who put in the vapor barrier for our crawl space come back out yesterday, cut out some of it since the skunk had gotten UNDER it 3 months ago and the spray oil was still UNDER it and so we had to clean it, now let it dry and they will come back and replace that vapor barrier with new vapor barrier. Fun stuff, I tell ya. $400 more dollars down the drain. I think that brings the total to almost $1600 for one skunk squeezing into a hole under our air conditioning unit and spraying it and our crawl space. Did you know that I hate skunks? Yup.
5:07 pm | Picked up a chocolate milkshake for the kids at Culvers. It’s staring at it and I want to drink it, but resisted.
6:20 pm | Hanging out on the back porch writing in some cards and reading a bit.
6:25 pm | Michael joined me on the back porch. He was buying me some shampoo at Target.com (the kind I love is SO hard to find and so we just bought it online, ha!). We had a little “date night” on the back porch. It was quiet, we talked a good bit and enjoyed spending time together.
8:40 pm | Jack was trying to comfort a crying Luke and so he was hugging him and telling him it was going to be ok. He was also trying to make him laugh by telling him jokes and saying silly things about Caylin. She had accidentally scared Luke by making a scary sound and running after him and he didn’t like it. ? So happy to have captured this sweet moment between two brothers.
9:32 pm | Caylin and Jack are having a sleepover, but this time Caylin is sleeping in Jack’s room! These two are super silly! Even after the lights go out, they talk together and we can hear they laughing and chatting. It’s so sweet! They’re always sure to have the Ninja Turtle stars on and the light up rainbow, too! Oh, and lots of stuffed animals! ;)
Two more days left to document! Loving the moments and stories I’ve been capturing! I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend! I’ll be back tomorrow to share the photos + stories I’m documenting today!
XO!
