Hi friends! Happy Friday! Today I’m popping in to share a quick layout that I did using the super cute July Freckled Fawn kit called, “Sweet Treats.” This layout is about exactly that, a sweet treat that my sweet Lukie loves … DONUTS! Um, can you blame him? We don’t eat donuts a lot, but when I do treat my kiddos to them, Luke loves to make a mess and lick his fingers clean! Ha!
Luke is a big fan of powdered sugared donuts and when I saw the super cute epoxy donut stickers in the July kit, I knew it was the right time to print that photo out and get it scrapped!
I simply took a 4×6 photo and a piece of patterned scrapbook paper and placed them in the middle of the layout.
I took a blank 3×4 Project Life card and stamped some lines on it. I trimmed off the top, wrote my journaling on it, stamped the date and then took one of the strips of patterned vellum stickers and adhered it to the bottom of the card.
I took my circle punch and punched out some yellow patterned paper and placed the cute donut stickers on them. I placed them randomly on the layout, making sure that I followed the “rule of thirds.”
I stapled one of the cork arrows to the top of the layout (just trimmed the top off it) and added some of the puffy star stickers around the journaling card. I also added the title “DONUT LOVE” using some older Freckled Fawn foam stickers (from a previous kit) to the layout and used a chipboard heart for the “o” in “LOVE.”
And there you have it – this layout makes me smile BIG, friends. Love how so many of the embellishments in the kit make it so easy to put a layout together AND that even after embellishing a Project Life spread a couple of weeks ago, I STILL have so many great things to use!
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead!
XO!

July 29, 2016 at 3:10 pmOh my! These are SO cute!! Both my kids have baby books and separate photo albums, but I really want to start scrap booking, too. I’m so sappy and sentimental that this kind of stuff is right up my alley ;)
