Yesterday was crazy and I didn’t get a chance to post my Thursday photos and so today I’m going to post both Thursday and Friday photos to play a bit of catch up! ;)
This project is going really well for me. I’ve taken around the same amount of photos every day – nothing crazy, just like around 10 a day – and I’m totally cool with that. I think that I’m documenting what I want to document and not feeling stressed about it at all and that is my goal, friend. The cool thing about these projects is that YOU are the one that determines what is best for the way that YOU document your week. My advice is to not look at what everyone else is doing, but think about what works for the season of life you are in right now. For me, I knew I did NOT want to miss out on this project – it’s one of my most favorite, but I knew I had to keep it simple and not go overboard and so, I’m not. Done. ;) Now I’m on day 6 and this, by far, has felt like the least stressed WITL for me and honestly, I’m the busiest now that I’ve been, especially in the past three years that I’ve done this project. Super happy about that!
So here are Thursday’s photos + words:
7:43am | My sweet Jack. His head never stays on his pillow and he has a bajillion toys next to him and a few books under his pillow. I love him so much.
10:00am | Luke currently: Ninja fighting, play baths, Lavender lotion foot rubs, hugs, bananas, being my “printing grabber” and snuggling. Currently doesn’t like: his nose being cleaned (or blowing it), the dark, pizza and big dogs.
10:58am | Luke’s watching Power Rangers and wearing his favorite Halloween socks. He wants to wear them ALL OF THE TIME. Oh, and they are always Minecraft and ninja weapons and toys on the living room rug. Every day.
2:01pm | Current weather and the rest of the week. (I love adding other bits to my WITL, like the weather, text messages, screenshots of current playlists, etc).
2:08pm | Doing lots of cleaning today. Just got done cleaning up the homeschool room. I think it’s time for a nap.
3:49pm | Out running errands and I had to stop to get some gas at Sam’s Club.
4:35pm | Thank you, Tazikis for cooking dinner for this tired, worn out Mama.
5:43pm | My favorite kombucha on the rocks. I’m wild like that.
6:33pm | Caylin made this cross for me. So sweet!
8:40pm | So many times this week I have looked at my daughter and wondered how she grew up so fast. It is so bittersweet. I know all of you Mamas can relate. She is almost a teenager and well, I’m begging time to slow down just a little bit.
Now here are Friday’s photos + words:
7:42am | Up early this morning watching one of the cartoons they love, “Unikitty.” About head to the nature trail for breakfast.
8:11am | Breakfast at the nature trail.
10:25am | At Target getting a card for my Mama.
11:01am | Lunch. Totally in the mood for some pico. Then again, when am I NOT?!
12:17pm | Luke is always trying to wrestle and play with Michael. He has this super cute thing that he does where he tells Michael, “I’m going to touch your stuff!!” and then he runs into our master bedroom where Michael’s work desk is and he starts touching Michael’s chair and desk and computer mouse and all the things and then Michael chases after him and when he catches him – he tickles him. Luke loves his Daddy so much and I’m so glad that he has a Daddy that loves him even more than that.
3:24pm | Upstairs with Jack doing more schoolwork. I just asked him to tell me the opposite of cooler and he said, “Caylin because I’m cooler than her!” What a goober!
4:53pm | Remember that earlier post about Luke and Michael? Here is more evidence of the fact that Luke is like part-monkey around his Daddy. Chatting away in Caylin’s room, talking about weekend plans and Michael is of course Luke’s jungle gym!
6:40pm | Time for a walk.
6:57pm | Yep, I’m the dork that takes a photo like this in front of the nature center trail entrance. ? My husband, on the other hand, is the awesome husband who takes it.
9:02pm | The kids are a big fan of my Lavender lotion foot rubs, but Luke is always the first in line.
So there’s Thursday + Friday in photos + words. I hope you have a great weekend! I’ll be back tomorrow with more, friends!
XO!
