Here are Friday’s words + photos for Week in the Life, friends! I’m almost to the finish line!
FRIDAY | 6:48 am | It’s so pretty this morning. It’s seriously the perfect temperature, but I know that my eyes will be itching when I go back inside. Thankful for the rain that’s coming to wash away some of this pollen. I’m outside A LOT more since all I seem to do is walk her.
FRIDAY 8:28 am | Workout done. Did not feel like doing it, but did it anyway. So glad it’s Friday!
FRIDAY 8:35 am | One of Marlie’s favorite spots.
FRIDAY 9:05 | Breakfast muffins for the win … again. A favorite of all of my kids. I’ve been making them for a good, long time now.
FRIDAY 9:40 am | Luke demonstrating the “dab” in the kitchen. He then proceeded to show me what a “double dab” is and then asked, what’s next? I told him “triple dab” and then he did the “double dab + single dab” and smiled so big. Him and his brother are all into “dabbing” right now.
FRIDAY 10:30 am | Lots of laundry is on the agenda today. Let’s see how long I leave it in the dryer for.
FRIDAY 1:03 pm | Someone was being naughty.
FRIDAY 2:36 pm | Browsing my Pinterest inspiration board that I made for the new branding/website of my business. SO excited about this process and everything to come!
FRIDAY 3:24 pm | One of Caylin’s jobs is folding the towels. She also has a lot of “puppy babysitting” duties lately. Marlie cooperated for the most part, but also jumped up a lot to bite the towels she was folding. It was pretty funny to watch.
FRIDAY 3:31 pm | Jack and Luke always go to the homeschooling room window to wave at me when I leave. It’s the sweetest. We do that when anyone leaves. It’s a tradition that started a few years ago and it makes my heart want to burst. I don’t ever want to forget their little faces starting out the window waving at me or the “air hugs” that they give to me as I drive away.
FRIDAY 3.48 pm | Got stopped by a train on my way to run errands and head to the store.
FRIDAY 4:05 pm | Bra shopping at Kohl’s. I swear this is torture. Found only one I liked, but got lots of cool Tennessee stuff on major clearance.
FRIDAY 6:22 pm | Swung by a pie shop called Buttermilk Sky that I’ve been wanting to go into. Probably shouldn’t have though because I walked out with 4 mini pies to try. This one is the I-40. It’s like a Pecan pie with chocolate chips and coconut. I can see why the lady said it’s the most popular one. YUM.
FRIDAY 7:40 pm | A few months back Michael and I realized that Luke had never had a wagon ride (third kid problems). We used to have this red RadioFlyer wagon and Caylin and Jack loved it. Luke looked SO sad when he realized we didn’t have that wagon anymore and that he never got to ride in it. Fast forward to a week ago when Michael texted me to tell me he was buying this collapsible red wagon to surprise Lukie.
Tonight he rode in it for the first time and to say he loved it would be an understatement.
Here’s to the simple joys in life and lots of wagon rides!
FRIDAY 8:37 pm | Caylin wanted to give me a quiz on the names of some characters she created so we piled onto the love seat and I proceeded to fail the quiz miserably. They laughed though and it was a good time.
Another day in the books and lots to be thankful for, including this project.
