Wanted to capture a bit of my morning routine and since I always head to the kitchen to let the dog out and get breakfast going first thing, I was doing that when Jack came in (him and Luke will usually find me in the morning and hug me) and I told him, “You’ve got 5 seconds until my timer on my phone takes a photo!” So he ran and hugged me and got in the picture. I think it’s perfect. The kitchen is a mess, there is laundry done, but this body of mine loves to hug, especially my sweet kiddos. So thankful for all that my body has been through and done for me the past 42 years.
We realized that one of our favorite food trucks, Auntie Ruth’s Donuts & Pretzels was close to us and so Caylin and I took a short drive to grab some sandwiches at the local Amish market the truck was parked in and, of course, pick up some donuts that are the size of our heads. She is usually my right-hand gal when I go run errands and I love our time together so much. We listened to the Troll soundtrack on the way there and she begged me not to take my phone out + snap a photo while we waited in line, but of course I did anyway. Love how she puts up with me and makes me laugh.
Ok, so Marlie is in this one again – so judge me. Ha! ? She’s my shadow and well, because of that she’s ALWAYS there. This documents my life perfectly right now and so since that is a slice of what this project is all about – you’ve got me with Marlie again. Ha! And her in all her diaper glory (she’s in heat right now, so that’s a lot of fun. NOT). I was actually trying to get a full body photo in front of my scrap desk, but she’d much rather try to lick my face off. Don’t forget I’m taking 3 photos a day of each prompt and so you can click on the link in my bio to see this week’s photos so far. I promise Marlie is not in all of them. Ha! Continuing to love this project so much. It’s stretching me in a lot of ways, super challenging (which I am loving) and it has been the most beautiful thing to see so many other documenters and their photos, too. There’s just a lot of love out there and a lot of us wanting to capture our lives and THAT is important. Join us.
This is day six – full body.
If you’d like to learn more about this documentation project, head on over to Ali’s website HERE. She does SO many cool documentation projects. My favorites are Day in the Life, Week in the Life and December Daily. She’s just an all around rad story-teller and picture taker that I know you’d love.
