Friday! Here are yesterday’s words + photos, friends!
FRIDAY 9:56am | Late start for us this morning. Luke found his stuffed bear, Blackie, in his room and so he was sure to bring him downstairs with him to eat breakfast.
FRIDAY 10:08am | Luke helped me whip up a smoothie for breakfast and Blackie wanted to help us, too so he did. The smoothie was one of the best smoothies I’ve ever tasted.
FRIDAY 10:17am | Admiring my sweet roses on the counter. Love how fresh flowers can brighten up any room. Thankful for the rose bushes on the side of my house and remembering to enjoy them more this year.
FRIDAY 11:53am | Getting ready for the day. Had some videos to shoot and so I thought I’d spend a little bit of time on my hair and makeup. Feeling more human today. Luke took my photo for me and I love it. This is the second time he’s taken a picture for my Week in the Life. He wants to become my official Week in the Life assistant and I think I’m going to hire him.
FRIDAY 12:56pm | Went for a quick trip down the road to run an errand and took the knuckleheads with me. They are so silly. You tell them to smile and usually I only get one of them that actually smiles.
FRIDAY 1:59pm | Took a break playing with Marlie to snap a photo of her with her favorite toy – one of my old socks. I can’t wait how cute she is. She’s in dire need of a grooming appointment, but she’s got another month until that happens. I better trim the fur away from her eyes or she’s going to start running into walls.
FRIDAY 3:43pm | Wrapping up some school with Luke. He just learned about graphing and so today he got to cut out some insects and then graph them and answer questions about his graph. He always loves the chance to glue stuff.
FRIDAY 4:03pm | Someone stole a kitchen dishtowel again.
FRIDAY 4:25pm | The weather was so nice today and so after I walked Marlie I took a bit of time to sit out on our back porch and catch up on some Voxers from friends. The light was great and so took it as an opportunity to get in the photo again. So proud of the photos I managed to get in today.
FRIDAY 6:58pm | So thankful to get out of the house a bit for an afternoon date with my guy. The weather is so nice today and it feels somewhat like the old days before the pandemic struck, which is nice. We hit up the Dollar Tree (which was a bust) and Walmart. Thankful for this man and our silly and simple afternoon dates together.
FRIDAY 8pm | I love the way the sky looks tonight. I think Marlie agrees since she had to take a seat and soak it all in for a minute.
FRIDAY 9:01pm | Luke asked to take another photo of me today (this will be the third one he’s taking so far this week) and so I said, “Sure!” He captured me at my desk getting some work done and I love it! Thankful for his willingness to help and also how much he appreciates photos and this project.
FRIDAY 9:53pm | My sister Kim texted me to see if I was still awake and I was and then she asked to FaceTime me quick. I was a bit worried – was hoping all was ok – but when I answered she excitedly showed me her beautiful engagement ring! Yay! So happy for her and Rob! Totally made my night!
And Friday ended there in photos + words, friend. Thank you so much for following along with me this week! Two more days of documenting and then it’ll be time to start getting it altogether in the album. Excited for the next couple of days and then wrapping it all up. Today there weren’t as many photos and I’m ok with that. We’ll see what Saturday brings. XO!
