How many of you are going to be participating in Ali Edwards’ Week in the Life this Monday? I am! The first Week in the Life that I participated in was back in 2015 and I just LOVED the end result. It’s one of those documenting projects that takes a bit of work, but it SO worth it in the end. It’s a must-do every year, if you ask me. Even with all of the craziness that is going on in my life right now, um … we’re moving to a different state in 2 weeks, ack! … I am still going to be on board for this project and capturing our life RIGHT NOW. It might not be the most interesting WITL that I’ve done and I’m sure there will be lots of boxes everywhere, but I think it’s important to do it and get these memories down no matter what is going on in my life at the moment. It’ll be interesting to see just what the end result is. I know no matter what, I’ll be glad that I did it.
If you follow me on Instagram (kristina.proffitt) you might have seen a few of my Insta-Stories where I talked about my album format for this year. Guess what, friends? I totally copied Ali’s format 100%. So NOT original, I know, but you know what – at this time (with so much going on and a move coming up so soon) I just wanted to get my album set up a bit so it would be good to go. I might move things around here and there, but for now, I’m totally OK with being inspired by Ali and seeing how it works for me.
I’m so glad that I kept out my WITL album and goodies and didn’t pack it all up just yet. It made me feel so good to be able to pull out some supplies and do a little scrapbooking. I needed that.
If you’re doing WITL next week, I’d love for you to comment and let me know if this is your first time or how long you’ve been doing it! Also let me know if you prefer to set up your album a bit ahead of time or if you work on it during the week or just do it all when the week is done. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I will be for sure snapping photos and writing down journaling throughout the week and then once we’re moved and settled a bit, I look forward to putting it altogether!
Here’s to a great week of life-documenting, friends! I’m excited!
