Hi friends! Here are the Tuesday photos + stories for the day!
TUESDAY 9:02am | Time to start the day. We’re all sleeping upstairs in the media room right now because what was a family sleepover one night has turned into a perpetual family sleepover. Michael and I have gone back and forth about whether or not we should go back to our regular rooms, but the new AC/heating unit we got installed about 5 months ago is RIGHT outside of our bedroom where our heads lay and well, it’s so loud and obnoxious. I’m a light sleeper and it wakes me up constantly. The media room is pitch black, super cool and quiet and let’s be honest, I don’t mind the family sleepover. My kids are growing up so fast, I am cherishing this time and the fact that they even want to have family sleepovers now. I think it’s a win-win. I’ll miss this one day. I just know it.
TUESDAY 9:14am | Out with the dog. Thankful for these really ugly shoes that Michael convinced me to buy last year. He knew they’d come in handy and keep my feet warm and dry. Well, like usual, he was right, gosh darnit. They are UGLY, but I’m thankful for them.
TUESDAY 9:34am | Another smoothie for breakfast. Luke slept in and so he wasn’t my helper today, but he wasn’t upset about it. I will say that when he helps me with it it doesn’t taste better somehow. Must be that extra love he puts in it.
TUESDAY 10:00am | Love this sweet shot captured of Luke and Marlie. Marlie is always so happy when Luke wakes up and comes into the kitchen. It’s the cutest thing.
TUESDAY 10:14am | I told her I’d play with her only if she posed for a picture for my Week in the Life. Let’s just say we played for a good bit after this. ;)
TUESDAY 11:20am | So happy to see my Essential Rewards order show up. I already had to bust into the MightyPro for the kids and Marlie was missing her “greenies.”
TUESDAY 12:01pm | So thankful for my happy space. This office is not only where I run my oil business, but also where I scrapbook, sing at the top of my lungs and have spontaneous dance parties. Sitting here as the sun pours in the window I’m grateful for this room and all of the things that fill it.
TUESDAY 12:52pm | It was time. Quick road trip to snag us some frenchie fries from Pals.
TUESDAY 1:34pm | One of Caylin’s chores is folding the towels and so while she folded them today, I folded the whites alongside of her. Of course we had some Ed Sheeran + Justin Bieber playing while we folded. She is loving those two right now and, well, I don’t mind them one bit. ;)
TUESDAY 1:55pm | These roses are making me smile so big right now.
TUESDAY 6:04pm | I don’t think a more true photo has ever been taken.?Me in the kitchen as I’m emptying the dishwasher and getting dinner ready dancing and singing to N’Sync. Yep. I am not ashamed. Had to be documented. Oh, and N’Sync forever.
TUESDAY 6:47pm | Jack’s sweet sketch book. He drew our family and the old rugged cross.
TUESDAY 7: 04pm | Out with Marlie again. It’s such a beautiful day. Feels like Fall. Thankful for the cool breeze, sun and this land.
TUESDAY 7:36pm | Practicing my ukulele and Luke snapped a photo for me. I told him my hair looked crazy and he said, “No it doesn’t Mama. It looks beautiful.”
TUESDAY 8:22pm | Walked by the media room and saw Caylin in there watching TV and doing art. She was enjoying the quiet time since her brothers were in the bath. I love how everywhere she goes – her sketchbook goes with her. Thankful for our cozy (and currently messy) media room that is always a place of laughter, snuggles and warmth.
TUESDAY 8:25pm | Gave Jack a haircut tonight and then got both boys in the bath. I know it won’t be long now when Jack won’t want baths with his little brother anymore and so I cherish these times even more. Usually more water ends up on the floor than I’d like and when the tub is drained I’m left with about 15 Army guys, plastic bugs and grossery gang figures.
TUESDAY 9:21pm | Bible Study on Revelation. It’s been a month of study so far and wow. Thankful for this time with Michael and God’s Word. Thankful for my Salvation.
There is Tuesday, friends. I hope that you are having a great week so far! If you have any questions, let me know! If you’re doing Week in the Life and are needing a little pep talk, remember this: stories + words are SO powerful and even the most simple photograph can tell an amazing story. No matter what you capture this week – you will cherish it and so will your family. Don’t stress about it one bit – enjoy this time documenting.
Here’s to tomorrow.
