You ready for a New Year? I am. :-D I’m actually pretty excited about it. I am wondering though just where in the world 2009 went. It sure was a fast year. I’m hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was really nice. Santa was really good to my daughter and she was so excited. I usually hate the part of putting away all of the Christmas decorations and Christmas music, but I actually have already done it. I just felt like it was time for a fresh start for the New Year and I went on a big cleaning up spree yesterday and took care of it all.
Since Christmas has passed I did want to share with you the homemade gift I made my best friend, Nichole, for Christmas.
I created this happy little embroidery hoop piece for her. She loved it and I was so happy. I just love making gifts. I’ve got lots to do this week so I better get to it. One more thing I wanted to mention, please, if you aren’t praying for Kate McRae and her family already, please do so. You can go
HERE to read more. They have had a very hard and trying Christmas and birthday. I think of them often and pray for them often, too. Their situation breaks my heart and leaves me wanting to try to do more. You can still make cards for Kate, too. The information is
HERE on Jennifer’s blog. There are also other sweet children going through hard things that you can create cards for. I hope you will start the New Year off right – doing something for someone else. That’s my plan.
Have a wonderful, blessed day. Hugs!
