Week in the Life: Monday

Hi friends!

I decided to come on here to my blog every day this week and post the Week in the Life photos that I took the day before. I thought it would be not only a great way to get the journaling down for the photos (and the stories, too), but I am loving seeing everyone’s photos and so I thought I’d play along!

Now I’m taking a super laid-back approach to this. I’ve got my camera and phone near me at all times (usually) and so I have just been randomly snapping shots here and there. I’m just wanting to get an overall look at our life RIGHT NOW.

I got up early on Monday to make the kids their favorite almond flour cinnamon muffins. Love taking advantage of the timer on my phone. I use the app TimerCam and love it. I’m trying to be sure I get IN the photos this week!

Sweet Maggie. She’s  getting up there in age. I snapped this shot of her right by the back door. She loves to sleep on this little rug.

This is the kids at breakfast eating their favorite muffins. This shot is so simple, yet I love it. That’s Luke’s “camera face” right now. Love the crazy bed hair that Jack always has. Makes me smile.

This photo is a bit blurry, but totally ok to me. I used the timer app on my phone again to get a photo of me doing what I do every Monday morning – I wash all of the bedding in the house.

I thought I’d snap a photo of our home here and there this week as well. This little shelf I got at Target is a favorite because it holds some sweet little momentos that have meaning to us as a family. I totally just placed those two white pieces of pottery in there a few months back so those won’t stay there, LOL, but everything else has a meaning! Ha!

I got on the floor and snapped this photo of the kids up in the bonus room. They’re just chilling, but love it.

Caylin is all about her Pikachu right now. She takes that thing EVERYWHERE. Her and Jack were playing downstairs with Jack’s trucks and she stopped quick and I snapped this photo.

A stack of clean clothes to hang up and put away and changing a diaper. Keeping it real. ;) I really wish it wasn’t so rainy and cloudy yesterday. I needed more natural light in EVERY room.

I also went into Caylin and Jack’s room and snapped a photo of just a part of their room. I thought it would be cool to look back on, too. This little corner in Caylin’s reading nook is so happy and colorful. I love how she placed her new sandals in there.

Here’s a little wall in Jack’s room. Jack will stuff ALL of those backpacks full of toys. His newest backpack is the Ninja Turtle one and sometimes it’s so full that it’s too heavy for him to carry. It about makes him fall over.

Lunchtime. Caylin loves these all-natural beef hotdogs for lunch. She only likes mustard on it and she will take bites of both ends, usually. Yesterday we had moon pies and so we each got one of those, too. I took a bit of the moon pie packaging off of the box and I’m going to add it to the WITL album. We’re big fans of moon pies in this family. Oh, and there’s Pikachu. Told you. ;)

Luke came flying down the hallway with his truck! He about ran me over and the lighting is the greatest, but I got it!

Caylin and Luke were hanging out in our bed for nap time. Luke cosleeps with us still and well Caylin always hangs out on the bed with him either reading, watching a show or playing her DS just to keep an eye on him while I get other things done around the house and hang out with Jack. She’s my little nap time helper! Luke loves hanging out with his big sis!

Had to do a car selfie! We were headed out to get some dinner! I wasn’t able to get to the grocery store so we were hitting up our favorite BBQ joint!

I took a shot of one of our favorite songs to dance to in the car! Hahahaha! Don’t judge. ;)

Here’s said BBQ dinner. We get the turkey and I got a side of baked beans and potato salad. Caylin always steals my cornbread.

Snapped this of Luke right before dinner. He loves that Elmo bib. He’s super messy when he eats so it’s still a must for him right now! ;)

After dinner we went outside for a bit. Michael was checking out our air conditioning unit and the boys always have to follow him. :)

Jack gave me the thumbs up! He loves to be in Luke’s little car. I will push him fast up the driveway and let him go and then it’ll automatically turn around and come down. It’s just a fun little thing we do!

Michael and Luke played a game of one-on-one. TOO adorable. They were even dressed alike last night! He’s a mini-Michael for sure!

I watched a live webinar last night by Jon Acuff. He is AMAZING. It was so nice to just sit at my desk in the quiet and soak it all in. Michael and the kids were downstairs watching a new episode of the Ninja Turtles.

Lastly, I snapped this photo of Jack. He always does this at night when he’s waiting for me to come and brush his teeth before bed. He’ll just sit on the bathroom rug and play with his toys. So glad to have snapped a photo of this. :)
